The
Rhea County Newspaper
"Rhea County's REAL Information Source"
We were notified about a dispute regarding what appears to be a "mistaken identity"
in one of our stories.

In a story entitled "
Herald-News dwells once again in Fantasy Land", the name "Leo
Faber" was used. A person by the name of Leo Faber sent me an e-mail stating that he
was not the same "Leo Faber" who was purportedly in the adult film making business.
A
Google search of the name "Leo Faber" results in over 370,000 hits!!!

We have absolutely no idea as to how many Leo's that are in the world, nor do we know
how many Faber's are in the world. So, just to fair to any
Leo Faber out there in La-La
land, we have deleted the entire paragraph and have deleted every LEO and FABER word
or name from the article altogether.

In fact, I personally do not care who Leo Faber is, or who he isn't.

But we hold the position that for a judge to subject anyone to a "penalty of shame" is as
outrageous as someone wanting to film such draconian exhibit of punishment.
Perhaps "taboo" is indeed the correct term for it.

We apologize to all the Leo Fabers of the world.

Also, THREE mistakes that warranted correction isn't bad considering we are a bunch of
mouthy amateurs shining a big spot light on a nest of rats, for FREE I might add.

Now with all that said, I just noticed that I got another e-mail from Faber. Hell, I am going
to add to the drama of this poor fellows life and publish his e-mail to me, me to him and
him to me again...Sure is getting old QUICK.

If any of you are noisy enough to read some of the crap I have to read
then read on before I hit the delete button...
Correction
Dear Crakston Cryler,

My name is Leo Faber and I am writing you to ask you to immediately remove the text
below that you have written into one of your online articles.

****Perhaps had any person with even a minuscule of sense maybe had conducted just a
minimal amount of checking, they may have found that Leo Faber may actually be the
same Leo Faber of Leo Faber Productions, which also seemingly does business as Faber
New Media. And as such, is said to be involved in not just documentary styled films, but
³swinging-adult² films as well, according to Gay Rights and Beasteology Specialist,
Ryon Harris who purportedly uses the pen name of "Ben_Dover_Billy" at online
forums.****

I was shocked to read it and for a newspaper which seeks to tell the 'truth' to have
something so inaccurate was absolutely outrageous. I am indeed a producer for a TV
show called Taboo which has been in production now for 5 years and is a very well
respected programme. I do not have a company called Leo Faber Productions nor do I
have a company called Faber New Media. I have never, ever, been involved in any adult
films of any kind. It is of the utmost importance that you remove this nonsense from your
article ASAP or I will begin a defamation act against you. I do not care what your obvious
fight is with Max Hackett, I just do not want to be involved in any way. We were indeed
doing a show in your county and featured a young man who was carrying out Judge
Mckenzies Shame Punishment. This series will be aired nationally on the National
Geographic channel this year.

I enjoyed the hospitality of your county and met many nice people there. I am very
disappointed that my visit and memories will be forever tainted by your false accusations.

Please advise what you intend to do about this ASAP or my lawyer will call you first thing
Monday.

May I just add that what you have printed is illegal as it is completely inaccurate and
defamotory to my standing in my industry which I have worked hard in for over 10 years.

Thank you and good day,

DEIFINITION of defamation

law, defamation (also called vilification, slander, and libel) is the communication of a
statement that makes a false claim, expressively stated or implied to be factual, that may
harm the reputation of an  individual, business, product, group, government or nation.
Most jurisdictions allow legal actions, civil and/or criminal, to deter various kinds of
defamationand retaliate against groundless criticism. Related to defamation is public
disclosure of private facts arises where one person reveals information which is not of
public concern, and the release of which would offend areasonable person.[1] "Unlike
libel or slander, truth is not a defense forinvasion of privacy."[2]
Mr. Faber,

Information is usually sourced and we have no control over names that may or may not
be the same as someone elses name. I indeed except your reasoning and desire to avoid
any confusion as to any person by any variation of the name "Leo Faber". This certainly
was not our intention and if you Google the name "Leo Faber" there are several of them,
including dead ones, jailed ones, adult film makers, soccer players, etc.

In any event, I will honor your request as we do all correction requests (2 corrections to
date -- 3 now) and remove the words that you objected to from the story.

I will also provide a correction on the main page so as to inform others that you stated
that you are not the same Leo Faber as depicted in the story.

Thanks for bringing this matter to our attention.

Crakston Cryler, editor
Mr Cryler,

I appreciate your offer to rectify this matter immediately. However you must also realize
that I am not to be confused with the person in the story, I am the person you refer to in
the story.

I was there in Dayton making a TV show for National Geographic Channel called Taboo
where we focused on a story about Judge McKenzie’s Shame Punishment.

What you wrote about myself was just plain incorrect, I have never been involved in Adult
films. I was however in your county and I was making a legitimate, prime-time TV show for
a very well respected broadcaster.

What you inferred , and used my name and profession, was that we were not who we said
we were. That we were possibly making it up. I’m sure you will now be clear this is not the
case, we worked directly alongside with the Judge and the Sherrifs department. The
whole trip was planned and researched over a period of 2 months before we arrived.

I need you to also clarify in your correction that we were indeed a legitimate production
crew and only had the best intentions when we filming in your county. I feel very hurt by
this whole experience, it was a shame you weren’t able to come along with us for some of
our filming, we had a great time and would have happily shared our experiences with you.
We film all over the world and took some beautiful shots of Dayton and your lovely
community.

The references below in italics, to our production crew below must be omitted and
corrected please.

“and have children being forced to be filmed by a group of people who simply said that
they were part of National Geographic shooting footage for a documentary type show
called “Taboo”

We had sent numerous emails from our office and had official identification and
documentation that we showed whilst we stayed and worked with the good people of
Dayton. No one who contributed to the documentary film was EVER forced to do
anything. I approached each individual separately and asked if they would take part in our
filming. Some said no and that was fine but 3 actually said yes, we have their signed
release forms in our office. You then went on to say...

“In any event, this story isn’t about Judge McKenzie trying to be on television once again
at the expense and dignity of the youthful offenders of juvenile court where we all
thought that juvenile proceedings were supposed to be secretive from the public at large.
Guess we all got that one wrong. Neither is this story about a judge forcing children to
parade up and down a public sidewalk while being stalked and filmed by who-knows-who, “

Obviously, I have no comment on the Judges intentions on co-operating with us on our
story about Shame Punishment but you mention, inaccurately, that we featured juvenile
offenders, this was again not the case. Everyone we filmed with was over 18 years old.
We filmed a normal court day and not a juvenile court day. And obviously we here at
‘Taboo’ were pretty upset to hear that you referred to our highly professional crew of
experienced broadcasters as stalkers and “who-knows-who”.

So again I ask that you clarify and rectify this matter ASAP.

I find it incredible that you have pulled us into your obviously highly tempestuous
relationship with Mr Hackett, did you not expect we would see this article?

However, thanks for your quick response to my email and I trust we can get this matter
sorted out as soon as possible.
